Celtic House Irish Pub & Restaurant was lovingly crafted by a master carpenter from County Clare, Ireland, who brought decades of experience in designing authentic Irish bars to the Arlington, Virginia. Since 2014, Michael and Rolando have been the driving force behind Celtic House Irish Pub & Restaurant. Together, they’ve created more than just a pub—they’ve built a welcoming community where great food, exceptional drinks, and meaningful connections come together.
Michael
CO-OWNER
Mikey Mc, as he’s known to many, hails from Clarecastle in County Clare, Ireland, Mikey brings decades of experience in hospitality to Celtic House. His passion for the industry began in his teens, working in some of Ireland’s most iconic establishments. After refining his craft through professional training in Switzerland, Mikey immigrated to the United States in the late '80s.

Stateside, Mikey honed his skills managing The Dubliner in Washington, D.C., and contributing to several prominent Irish bars throughout the greater D.C. area. In 2014, he partnered with Rolando to co-found Celtic House Irish Pub & Restaurant, turning their shared vision into a beloved local destination.

Known for his unwavering commitment to hospitality, Mikey fosters a loyal team that feels more like family. His dedication to mentoring staff, nurturing growth, and creating lasting friendships ensures that both employees and guests feel at home. Beyond the pub, Mikey is a passionate supporter of the County Clare hurling team, always ready to engage in a spirited debate about the triumphs and trials of Ireland’s favorite sport.
Rolando
CO-OWNER
Originally from El Salvador, Rolando immigrated to the U.S. in the '90s and quickly built a reputation as an exceptional culinary leader. With extensive experience managing kitchens in Irish pubs across the DMV region and New York, Rolando’s expertise in menu creation has elevated the dining experience at Celtic House.

Drawing on his background in French cuisine, Rolando crafts menus that bring families together and delight food lovers with their unique flair. His signature dishes and rotating specials highlight the best of classic Irish fare, often with an elevated twist on traditional meat and fish recipes.

A devoted family man, Rolando is equally passionate about soccer, especially when his home country’s team takes the field. His love of food and community is at the heart of Celtic House, where his culinary creations continue to delight guests year after year.
